II CONVOCATORIA INTERNACIONAL MORADA SÓNICA 2025

“LA ESCUCHA INVISIBLE – HOMENAJE SONORO A JACQUES TATI”

Tras el éxito de nuestra primera convocatoria internacional “ORIENT EXPRESS”, dedicada a la obra de Eduardo Polonio, desde MORADA SÓNICA abrimos una nueva invitación dirigida a artistas sonoros de todo el mundo.

En esta ocasión, centramos la escucha en el legado del cineasta francés JACQUES TATI, pero no pensando en él en base a sus películas ni a sus bandas sonoras. Esta convocatoria se inspira en el uso radicalmente innovador del sonido que Tati desarrolló como herramienta narrativa, como textura, como gesto cómico y como elemento arquitectónico de sus universos audiovisuales.

Tati diseñaba el sonido como un componente autónomo, coreografiado con precisión, donde los ruidos cotidianos y abstractos —y sus silencios— eran signos tan elocuentes como las imágenes. Esta compilación busca celebrar y reinterpretar esa escucha invisible, invitando a los artistas a crear piezas originales que, sin el requisito de utilizar material directo de sus películas, se nutran de su sensibilidad sonora y de su visión lúdica, crítica y profundamente moderna del entorno acústico.

La compilación resultante será publicada publicada por el sello WET DREAMS RECORDS en formato digital y físico (USB en forma de cassette) y difundida tanto por WDR como por MORADA SÓNICA. La recepción de piezas sonoras estará vigente desde el 30 de junio hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2025, como una obra abierta en constante resonancia.

 

BASES DE PARTICIPACIÓN

 **1. Participantes:** Podrán participar artistas sonoros y creadores de cualquier nacionalidad y edad.

**2. Tema:** Las obras deben estar inspiradas principalmente en el uso del sonido en el cine de Jacques Tati aunque se aceptará cualquier homenaje al cineasta y su obra en todas sus vertientes. Las piezas pueden explorar el humor sonoro, el diseño acústico del espacio, el juego con los ruidos, la crítica social a través del sonido, etc. Se aceptará música en todos los estilos y variantes: experimental, electrónica, ambient, noise, clásica, dance, rock, pop, punk, folk, etc. Arte sonoro, paisajes sonoros, audio collages, poesía sonora, poesía vocal, grabaciones de campo. Radio arte, programas de radio, documentos sonoros, radio de creación, narrativa.

**3. Obras:** Las piezas deben ser originales e inéditas. Solo se aceptará una pieza por participante. Duración máxima: 10 minutos. Formatos de entrega: archivo WAV (16 o 24 bits / 44.1 o 48 kHz) o archivo AIFF. 

**4. Envío:** Los participantes deberán enviar sus piezas sonoras a la dirección de correo: convocatorias@wdrecords.com, indicando el nombre del autor, título de la obra, lugar de residencia, dirección de e-mail y web en su caso. Se podrá incluir una nota biográfica y/o descripción del trabajo con extensión máxima de 400 caracteres.

El archivo tiene que estar nombrado así: NOMBRE_DEL_AUTOR_(ciudad,país)_título_de_la_pieza.wav 

Adjuntar:
a) La pieza en formato WAV o AIFF
b) Ficha técnica y breve texto explicativo (máx. 300 palabras) (opcional)
c) Imagen en alta resolución (portada o imagen de apoyo) (opcional)

Asunto del correo: TATI + NOMBRE DEL ARTISTA

Plazo de recepción: Desde el 30 de junio hasta las 12 de la noche del 30 de diciembre de 2025. Los convocantes se reservan la posibilidad de ampliar dicho plazo si las circunstancias así lo aconsejaran.

 **5. Publicación:** Las obras aportadas formarán parte de la segunda compilación internacional de MORADA SÓNICA y serán publicadas por el sello WET DREAMS RECORDS en su Bandcamp (wetdreamsrec.bandcamp.com) por estricto orden de recepción, permaneciendo disponibles en formato digital desde el 30 de junio de 2025. Posteriormente al cierre de recepción de piezas sonoras, la compilación será publicada en formato USB-Cassette y distribuida desde la web oficial de MORADA SÓNICA (https://moradasonica.com/) y desde el anteriormente mencionado Bandcamp de WET DREAMS RECORDS. Se dará difusión a través de plataformas internacionales, redes asociadas y emisoras de radio colaboradoras. 

**6. Derechos:** Los autores conservarán los derechos de sus obras. MORADA SÓNICA se reserva el derecho a difundir, reproducir y distribuir la obra en el marco de esta convocatoria, con fines exclusivamente culturales, sin ánimo de lucro. 

**7. Aceptación:** La participación implica la aceptación total de estas bases.

2nd INTERNATIONAL CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR SOUND MORADA 2025


“INVISIBLE LISTENING – SOUND TRIBUTE TO JACQUES TATI”

Following the success of our first international call for entries, “ORIENT EXPRESS” dedicated to the work of Eduardo Polonio, MORADA SÓNICA is extending a new invitation to sound artists from around the world.

This time, we focus our listening on the legacy of French filmmaker JACQUES TATI, but not in terms of his films or soundtracks. This call is inspired by Tati’s radically innovative use of sound as a narrative tool, as a texture, as a comic gesture, and as an architectural element of his audiovisual universes.

Tati designed sound as an autonomous, precisely choreographed component, where everyday and abstract noises—and their silences—were signs as eloquent as the images. This compilation seeks to celebrate and reinterpret this invisible listening, inviting artists to create original pieces that, without requiring direct footage from their films, draw on their sonic sensibility and their playful, critical, and profoundly modern vision of the acoustic environment.

The resulting compilation will be published by the WET DREAMS RECORDS label in digital and physical format (USB cassette) and distributed by both WDR and MORADA SÓNICA. The submission of sound pieces will be open from June 30th to December 31st, 2025, as an open work in constant resonance.

 

 RULES FOR PARTICIPATION

 

  1. **1. Participants:** Sound artists and creators of any nationality and age are welcome.

 

  1. **2. Theme:** Works must be primarily inspired by the use of sound in the cinema of Jacques Tati, although any homage to the filmmaker and his work in all its forms will be accepted. Pieces can explore sonic humor, acoustic spatial design, playing with noise, social criticism through sound, etc. Music of all styles and variations will be accepted: experimental, electronic, ambient, noise, classical, dance, rock, pop, punk, folk, etc. Sound art, soundscapes, audio collages, sound poetry, vocal poetry, field recordings, radio art, radio programs, sound documents, creative radio, narrative.

 

  1. **3. Works:** Pieces must be original and unpublished. Only one piece per participant will be accepted. Maximum length: 10 minutes. Submission formats: WAV file (16 or 24 bits / 44.1 or 48 kHz) or AIFF file.

 

  1. **4. Submission:** Participants must send their sound pieces to the following email address: convocatorias@wdrecords.com, including the author’s name, title, location, email address, and website, if applicable. A biographical note and/or description of the work may be included, with a maximum length of 400 characters.

 

The file must be named as follows: AUTHOR_NAME_(city, country)_title_of_the_piece.wav

  2. b) Technical information and a brief explanatory text (max. 300 words) (optional)

Deadline for submission: From June 30th to midnight on December 30th, 2025. The organizers reserve the right to extend this deadline if circumstances so require.

 

  1. **5. Publication:** The submitted works will be part of MORADA SÓNICA‘s second international compilation and will be published by WET DREAMS RECORDS on their Bandcamp (www.wetdreamsrec.bandcamp.com) in strict order of receipt, and will remain available in digital format from June 30, 2025. After the deadline for receiving sound pieces, the compilation will be published in USB-cassette format and distributed from the official MORADA SÓNICA website (https://moradasonica.com/) and from the aforementioned WET DREAMS RECORDS Bandcamp. It will be disseminated through international platforms, partner networks, and collaborating radio stations.

 

  1. **6. Rights:** The authors retain the rights to their works. MORADA SÓNICA reserves the right to disseminate, reproduce, and distribute the work within the framework of this call for entries, for exclusively cultural, non-profit purposes.

 

  1. **7. Acceptance:** Participation implies full acceptance of these rules.
